Privacy Policy
1. What We Hold
Your account record: email address, password hash, plan, and profile preferences. Your product data: the strategies, scanners, sessions, and settings you create. Your venue credentials: the API keys you connect, held in an encrypted vault.
2. The Encrypted Key Vault
Venue API keys are encrypted at rest with a platform encryption key, entered once and never displayed again — the interface shows only a masked fingerprint. Keys are decrypted only inside the trading engine at the moment a venue call is made, are never exported, never logged in plain text, and are deactivated when you disconnect the venue or close your account.
3. Billing Data
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiry, and CVC are entered on Stripe hosted pages and stored by Stripe — Trend Hound receives only the subscription state, plan, and invoice references needed to operate your account.
4. Operational Telemetry
We record service logs — API calls, session lifecycle events, connection health — to operate and secure the platform. Logs are scoped to operations; they never contain venue secrets or passwords.
5. Local Storage
The app stores interface preferences in your browser — for example your selected theme — and your session tokens. No third party advertising trackers are used.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your data. Data leaves the platform only to operate it: orders to the venues you connect, billing to Stripe, and email delivery for verification and password reset when enabled.
7. Retention And Deletion
Account data persists while your account is active. On closure, venue credentials are deactivated immediately; account and product records are deleted on request, subject to invoicing records we must keep.
